The headquarters of the organization is established in the City of Kigali, District of Nyarugenge, Sector of Nyarugenge, Cell of Kiyovu, Village of Inyarurembo<\/p>\n

The mission of the OVPR organization is to promote and protect the rights of people in difficulty as guaranteed by the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda, the laws in force in Rwanda, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the African Charter of Human and peoples\u2019 rights, as well as other international human rights instruments.<\/p>\n

The organization aims to promote and protect the rights of human rights defenders, the rights of journalists, the rights of detainees, the rights of children, the rights of refugees and the rights of people living with disabilities through :<\/p>\n

  1. monitoring and evaluation;<\/li>\n
  2. free judicial and \/ or extrajudicial assistance and representation;<\/li>\n
  3. information on the fundamental principles of human rights via the media and training through Research Centers;<\/li>\n
  4. the granting of advisory opinions.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/article>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
